In accordance with the new Companies Bill 2012, every company registered under the companies law or any previous laws having a Net worth of Rs. 500 crore or more; or a turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more; or a Net profit of Rs. 5 crore or more, during any financial year has to spend at least two percent of its average Net profit made during the three immediately preceding financial years on CSR.
